Now it's time to set how LiLz Gauge extracts readings from your images of lamp gauges.
Defining Which Part of an Image Needs Reading
1. First, select "Add Gauge" and then you will be given an array of gauge types to choose from.
2. Select "Lamp (Beta)" and then click on "Next" at the bottom of the screen.
3. Now you'll want to specify which part of the image the AI needs to read. When you're done with this, click "Next" again.
4. Drag the square boxes (■) so that the front of the gauge is facing the camera before clicking on "Next".
You have now finished specifying which sections of your images the AI needs to read.
Editing Lamp Gauge Annotation Settings
Here you can define the colors of your lamp when it is in its off state and its on state.
1. Drag a box over the section of your lamp gauge that lights up.
Be sure to only cover the section that can be illuminated during this step.
2. After you have finished setting the colors for when the lamp is off and on, click on "Next."
3. Confirm that the AI is correctly identifying when the lamp is in its on/off states.
You have now finished telling LiLz Gauge how to read your lamp gauge.
Improving Accuracy
By using advanced settings, you can improve how accurate the AI is in determining if a lamp is in its on state or its off state.
1. If the AI is incorrectly identifying a lamp as on when it is off, increasing the color threshold up to which a lamp is judged as off can help it to correctly identify a lamp as off.
2. If the AI is incorrectly identifying a lamp as off when it is on, decreasing the threshold up to which a lamp is judged to be on can help it to correctly identify a lamp as on.
If you find you are not getting the correct results, continue adjusting the threshold over time to find the right balance for your color settings.
